Ašané, (‘people of Aš,‘) is a collaborative project between students of graphic design and architecture. The young architects did an intensive research of the peculiar urban situation of little border town Aš, but soon they were confronted with a challenge to present their findings in an understandable way. This is where the collab. started with our Graphic Design studio. We in the end created a publication, a website, a social campaign and an exhibition both in Brno and in Aš to address the local people. My team created a newspaper, that went to everyone’s postbox in Aš to inform them about their town’s situation. We had interviews with each of the architects to get understandable, real life responses that people not educated in architecture would understand, rather than complicated over-technical descriptions, that the students are used to write for their projects in highly professional environment of their university.
Ašané,
